Educational Objectives

KHU Department of Electronics Engineering aims to graduate electronics engineers possessing

  1. a strong background in mathematics, natural sciences and core electrical engineering subjects, so that they can analyze and synthesize electronic circuits;
  2. facilities to form an academic background necessary for graduate research studies;
  3. proficiency in information technology, literacy in using electronics engineering equipment and software tools;
  4. in-depth knowledge in at least one of the electronics engineering disciplines, so that they can manage related design processes effectively;
  5. an understanding of engineering with its social, environmental and ethical aspects, and a solid believe in the responsibility of the engineer to the public;
  6. strong project-management and interpersonal skills, ability for effective written and verbal communications and for successful teamwork;
  7. up-to-date technical knowledge and ability to follow technological innovations and to adapt himself to the changing conditions of the future.


Program Outcomes

  1. Ability to apply mathematics, science and engineering principles to modeling and solution of problems in electronics engineering
  2. Ability to define and solve engineering problems in the design, development, production and test of electronic systems by using appropriate analysis and modeling techniques
  3. Ability to use modern techniques in analyzing and designing electronic systems/products, taking requirements, quality, ethical and environmental conditions into consideration
  4. Ability to use information technologies, electronics engineering equipment and software effectively
  5. Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to collect, analyze and interpret data in examining engineering problems
  6. Ability to effectively participate in teamwork when tackling engineering problems
  7. Ability to communicate both orally and in the written form in Turkish as well as in English
  8. Ability to follow technological innovations in order to adapt himself/herself to the changing conditions and commitment in life-long learning
  9. Understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  10. Acquaintency with project management and industrial applications; understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development
  11. Acquaintency with contemporary issues and an understanding of the social impacts of engineering in national and global levels
